Weisong Zhao
Weisong Zhao (赵唯淞), Ph.D. ORCID Google Scholar GitHub X Bluesky

Weisong Zhao is a tenured Professor, doctoral supervisor, and Director of the Young Scientist Studio at the School of Instrumentation Science and Engineering, Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT). His research focuses on biomedical microscopy imaging technologies. He received his B.S. degree in Science from the Department of Physics at HIT in 2017 and his Ph.D. degree in Engineering from the School of Instrumentation Science and Engineering at HIT in 2022. In recent years, he has published papers as a first/co-first or corresponding/co-corresponding author in Nature, Nature Biotechnology, Nature Photonics, Nature Methods, and other journals. He has delivered more than 50 plenary, keynote, and invited talks at domestic and international academic conferences, and has been granted or has filed more than 20 PCT international and Chinese invention patents.

Associate Investigator

Liying Qu (曲丽颖), Ph.D.

Liying Qu is an Associate Professor at HIT and a recipient of the Chunyan Young Talent Program. She earned her Ph.D. in Instrument Science and Technology from HIT in 2025. Her research lies at the intersection of machine learning and super-resolution fluorescence microscopy, with a strong focus on their biological applications. Her work has been published in journals, including first-author publications in Nature Methods and Clinical and Translational Medicine. She is a recipient of the Qingjin Award from the Chinese Laser Press (2024).
